Cleaning for a Reason is designed to support people facing cancer during treatment, recovery, and other especially demanding moments. Here are a few helpful things to know before submitting an application.

People with any type of cancer who are in treatment, recovering from cancer surgery, or receiving hospice care can apply.
There is no charge to the patient. Cleaning partners donate their services through Cleaning for a Reason.
Cleaning for a Reason coordinates matches based on location and partner availability. A match with Lux Method is not guaranteed.
You can still explore help through Cleaning for a Reason's network across the United States and Canada. Apply through the program to find out whether an available partner serves your area.
General home cleaning. Discuss the scope with your matched partner; deep and spring cleaning are excluded.
Eligible patients may receive two complimentary general home cleanings, typically provided once a month for two consecutive months. Cleaning for a Reason coordinates the program and works to match patients with an available participating cleaning company in their area.
No. Applications and eligibility are managed directly by Cleaning for a Reason. Once an eligible patient is approved, the organization works to connect them with an available participating cleaning partner, which may include Lux Method when service is available in their area.
Yes. There is no charge to eligible cancer patients for the cleanings provided through the program. Participating companies like Lux Method donate their time and professional cleaning services.
Yes. A caregiver, family member, friend, healthcare professional, colleague, or other person may submit an application on a patient's behalf with their permission. The application is completed through Cleaning for a Reason rather than directly through Lux Method.
